- Build large-scale technology that can change the world for the better!
- Drive the scrum process by managing deployments from staging to production
- Own QA for a vast majority of tasks. Develop automated QA methods (e.g. write scripts that make the job easier)
- Approximately 50/50 manual/automation testing (with room for learning alongside our Senior Automation Engineer)
- Build out automated test coverage throughout the application
- Work with the CTO and Product Manager to build a full suite of regression and smoke tests
- Measure thoughtfully: have a deep interest in the QA processes you own. Find ways to improve workflows and make it happen.
- Weigh in on team estimation - make your voice heard when managing development projects
- 2+ years experience in a QA role, managing QA processes and driving scrum teams
- Some automation experience (you don't need to be expert level)
- Knowledge of Scrum, and experience of taking part in core ceremonies
- Ability to translate product requirements into test cases and scenarios
- Manage pipelines from definition through to QA

What we do - in more detail
GetGround is developing the infrastructure for a global digital marketplace for assets enveloped in companies. Trillions of dollars of assets are tied in inefficient illiquid markets - think property, ships, factory machinery & infrastructure to name a few.
Enveloping an asset in a company unlocks liquidity by enabling the right legal basis for asset ownership, governance and exchange. However companies, one of humanity's greatest inventions, are stuck in the past. We are digitising and automating the company - starting by tackling UK private residential investment property, with £1.3 trillion of stock and £30-50 billion in transactions a year.
QA Engineer | Portugal
(Working remotely in Portugal is possible - as long as you are happy to come to the office in a hybrid manner when we open Lisbon and Porto offices). You must have the right to work permanently in Portugal.
You will join our growing Portugal hub of 15+ product/engineering colleagues and you will work in a squad with GetGrounders in the UK and Germany. Engineering is led by Porto-based Engineering Director Joao (ex-Talkdesk), and our Stanford Computer Scientist CTO and Co-Founder, Misrab.

A QA Engineer at GetGround works on projects such as financial infrastructure and robust systems for high value transactions. We primarily use Golang (don't worry, if you don't know Go yet we'll help you ramp up on it), deployed on Google Cloud. We care about thoughtful, tested, documented code that delivers excellence to our customers.
